Hi everyone!!

Uggggh, I had MAJOR computer problems. I had a big virus that ruined my laptop, so I was out of one for a while, ..and erased everything on my hard drive, including my emails, so Im sorry if you emailed and I didnt get back. I couldnt remember for the life of me my password on here either...it sucked!. Luckily, my bro-inlaw redid my computer and got everything back!! How is everyone? I hope I didnt miss any ones surgery :(...If I did, PLEASE tell me all about it!! I'm doing great, Im FINALLY done with my left foot! WOW, was it a process. Honestly, until about a few weeks ago, I was still feeling uncomfortableness, but now, it feels like a normal foot!! I defiantly going to get the 2nd surgery, I dont have any updated pictures, because I let my parents have my digital camera. Im also going to be putting my surgery off a little, Im not sure exactly when, but Im moving Oct1st and I need to focus on that!! It will defiantly be before next summer though.  Also, just out of curiosity... I also wanted to ask anyone if they heard of that Health Club shooting in Bridgeville, pa? Its about 5-10 mins away from me!!! I was wondering if anyone on here heard of it, it was pretty scary :(

Anyway, I hope everyone doing well, and I missed all of you so much!! Cant wait to catch up.

Hi Ky!!

Wow, your surgery dates comming up really quick :) Ill also have 2 toes 2 do, so Im really excited to hear about your experience. Where are they getting your bones from? 1)from hip, ..1) from heel? I actually didnt return to see Dr.Lee after my surgery, I live in PA, and found a Dr to do my follow up here. It was really hard to find one too, there's not many Dr.s that want to be responsible for another Dr.s procedure, (even though its practically a waste of time, I honestly could have taken care of myself after surgery, because all my Dr did was look at my foot, take like 1, or 2 x-rays the entire follow up visits, (I went to see my follow up Dr about 8 times. Like I said, Im super excited to hear about your surgery, ..(I haven't heard of to many other people having 2 toes to get surgery on, so I cant wait to hear!! Good luck!!

Hi Ky!

Oh, ok, you mean, when I was in Phoenix how many times? Im sorry, I thought you thought I lived there and was seeing him the entire time. Well, I flew out on a Thursday, had surgery Friday, saw him that Monday, (was scheduled to see him that Wed, but I had to fly back home because I had a family emergency. I think if I would have stayed I would have saw him that Wed, and then Im pretty sure if everything was ok with my swelling and everything, I would have had the clear to go home that Friday. Are you asking because your trying to figure out how long to stay? That was my problem, while I was planning my trip, it was kinda hard to figure out how many days, because I didn't want to stay out there more days than I really needed to be, only because I didn't want to waste pointless days off of work , just sitting in a hotel in Phoenix, when I could be home and back to work sooner. I mentioned it to Dr.Lee, and he said I would be ok leaving the following Friday (a week from my surgery date)...BUT he did say that if my swelling was bad, that he MAY have to see me the next Monday, and then I could go home. What I did was booked my trip Thursday to the following Friday, for an evening flight home, and IF I would have had to see him the next Monday, I was just going to change my flight. Unfortunately, I had to cut my trip super short, because of my grama, and I was absolutely fine with flying home. I just arrived super early at the airport, and made sure I got the very front seat so I could prop my crutches up against the wall, and then I propped my foot up on the hand bars. Hope I answered any of your questions!! Good luck :)

Hi Brachybratt,

I also have two brachy toes on my left foot (3rd and 4th), I'm waiting to schedule my surgery hopes it can be done on november. They're gonna take bone from my hip and heel, I'm worry about the hip wonder if its to painful and how big the scar is going to be. :?

Hi Kyjenkins78, congrats on your surgery you're only couple days away to have pretty feet, let me know how it turns out 'cause we are in the same situation.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences!

Hi everybody,
I'm new here. I'm 29, live in Tampa Bay, Florida, and until last night I had no idea about Brachymetatarsia. I have it on my left foot. It was such an epiphany to find out all about it, and to find this forum! I can't believe how many people like me there are out there, I always felt so alone regarding this problem :( and I was too embarrased to talk about it with people. I am so excited to know that there is a surgery that could correct my toe, and I'm very happy to read so many positive testimonies!

Hugs to all of you!

:)

Hi Ky!!

I really dont understand it either! I keep getting these medical bills, and every time they bill me, theres a 5K charge on there??!! My bill is showing somewhere in the 50k amount, which I know cannot be correct. Im just super busy with moving, and do not have time to make the phone call to check this out. Something is wrong tho.

Hows everything going with you/ Whats new? Hope your well!! Ttys

Hi brachybratt!
I don't know if you still check this forum, but congratulations on being done with your left foot! It must be such a good feeling. I had surgery with Dr. Lee exactly 3 weeks ago on my left foot as well. I had read in one of your other post that after your surgery your brachy toe was slightly pulled upward, mine looks that way as well. After reading all the post I noticed that most people on here say theirs was pulling down towards the floor. So I just wanted to know if your toe still does this, or if now that you are walking it has lowered and aligned with your other toes?
