hi everyone, I don't know how to express my feeling about descovering this forum ,
I'v read almost all the masseges and would like to congratulate everyone who got the surgery( in a way or another ), I,m thinking to take the surgery too but would like to do it using one stage( I can't do a fixator since I am a very ascary cat to do anything for my self and turning this thing is BIG NO NO for me ).
anyway I was watching the DOCTORS show and there was a doctor there do cosmotic foot surgery, I tracked him down and called his office ( he is a very well known Dr. in that area but I don,t like to mintion his name here because I feel it is inapropriate to that ), anyway to make the story short I would like to ask Dr. Lee this question before I can go ahead and make my mind if I would like to go with him or with Dr. Lee because :
they both use this one stage surgery,
Dr. lee do only one foot @ a time, this Dr. can do both.
Dr. Lee use a cast for a period of time, this Dr. said that we can walk right after the surgery.
and finally this Dr. use a bone graft I'm not sure I understood from where ( maybe from dead people )
Dr. Lee,
could you please explain what is the complications of his surgery and should I be more carfull going to this Dr. , I know from all your patient that I can go with you with confidance but the idea of doing both @ the same time (since my both feet are affected) with weight baring is what I was looking for.
Thank you.

I in live Florida and this is going to be my second surgery . I had the external fixture surgery about 8 month ago and I it was not susscefull. Yes at the time did know about Dr.lee but I wanted do it with a local Dr. and save money, my family and friends supported me on my first surgery, but this time they think I should just leave it alone. So this time I am on my owned with no help and financially too. But I am not giving up and I am going to try again.

| Mell 21 sorry to hear about the disappointment with first surgery..Did you choose the external fixator b/c the doctor said it was the best thing to do..I truly believe things have a way of workin things out, Md Lee will surely be able to fix ur problem..I found out today that the surgery is covered minus copay as long as Md lee is in network..

I live in Fort Lauderdale FL and it was very hard finding a Dr. to do my post up because they all want u do the external fixator, but I did find one. I can’t afford to the take that chance again, so this time I am willing to travel from FL to Arizona.

Hi Smith 121
There were a few girls from this forum who had the surgery in NY using external fixator. Both girls used Dr Adam Cirlincione, his office is in Glen Cove and he's affiliated with Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park. Another girl used Dr John Doolan he's in Manhattan check this website
http://www.gramercyparkpodiatry.com. I am sure the will be able to take you for post-op. Smith where in Queens do you live, I'm probably very close to u. Perhaps we can get in touch with each other. thank you

| hi rightandleft, I actually went to see Dr. Adam Cirlincione. very nice and knowledgeable but wanted to do external fixator..(I'm not interested in the external fixator).. I was thinking of inquiring if he would see me post-op..But also wondered if he would look at me different b/c I didn't have him do my surgery..To be totally honest with you as soon as i saw this site I knew Md Lee was the surgeon for me..He is a blessing in disguise..What about you what are your plans?....
